Since our arrival in Middleton, we have continuously implemented equipment and ideas that help better serve our environment.

Our first project was to upgrade our water recycling filtration system with Sobrite Technologies Co®.  This filtration unit allows us to provide our customers with the cleanest recycled wash water, and safest for your vehicle, that is available to professional car washes.  Our highly trained staff to ensure the quality end result that our customers have come to expect from us then constantly tests this water.  When the wash water no longer meets our standards it is removed by certified wastewater hauling company and properly disposed of at a wastewater treatment facility.

Next we wanted to maximize soap, wax, and water to your vehicle with minimal waste.  With our updated tunnel control unit by DRB Systems®, we were able to do just that.  This tunnel controller gives us the functionality to turn on and off our liquid applicators to the nearest inch of your vehicle.  For example, our Triple Silicone foam wax generators only dispense when the nose of your vehicle enters that area and shuts down immediately at the rear.  No waste.

Speaking of waste, what about electrical usage?  A car wash has to use a ton of energy, right?  Wrong.  The biggest electrical draw is from our vehicle dryers.  Currently in the tunnel alone we are running 110HP to dry your car, which can use a lot of power just to get up to speed.  Because of this we have installed devices called Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).  These VFD's in conjunction with our tunnel controller allow us to start each dryer a lot sooner but also a lot slower that results in a 25% energy savings.  And we don't just limit them to drying.  These units are also heavily utilized in our Touch Free Automatic Wash.

Now what about leakage?  No matter what you do or where you go accidents happen.  In a car wash sooner or later a hose will leak.  Now what?  At Minit Car Wash we are proud to say that every product in our building is biodegradable.  Including our hydraulic fluid.  We use a water-soluble EPA certified product that in the event of a spill is easily cleaned up with soap and water and is completely safe for the environment.
